The Crutchscratchers, Unplugged. Their first live gig in 39 years sees the reform of one of the supergroups of the 1950’s for the wedding of Edna Hands and Brad Pitts. The band are Vocals: Mike Piddlethorpe (70), Drums Norman Belcher (58) and guitar Ernie Nuff (103). The “Scratchers” as they are best known once toured with The Alf Eddington Blues band from Wigan as well as appearing on Top of the Pops (Pans People couldn’t make it) Their last gig was the Albert Hall (Croyden) in 1971 (unpaid) but the lads are back, if the Eagles can do then hey! who can’t?
